Mae was a great friend ever since we were in elementary school together.  We were in Girl Scouts together.  I have very fond memory of going over to her house on Glenridge Drive.

Later in life after she was married, my mother and I both would board our dogs at her kennels.  She was so dear and so very sweet.....and very tall....it's a shame she did not play basketball with us!!!

Love you Mae....we miss you.....

Do you all remember the Elementary school trips to Washington DC ?

Of the many memories I have of Mae, the favorite one that she gave me was on our trip.

We were standing at the bottom of the steps to something....maybe the Smithsonian. Some of the others, for whatever reason, started pairing up and holding hands as they climbed the steps to go inside.

I was always "height" challanged and she was always....well TALL ! Anyway, I was standing on the steps ahead of her, and when I turned around, I was able to look her staight in the eyes. We had been watching as each couple would pair off and walk up the steps, and as I looked at her, she just smiled, grabed my hand and we proceeded up the stairs as another couple holding hands.

MAN ! I FELT 10 FEET TALL !!! She was so sweet. She could always make people feel good !

My last memory of Mae was seeing her at the end of the night at our last reunion. I remember how beautiful she looked !

She looked just like an Angel....and now she is one....

For my dear High School friend and college roommate. It is so hard to believe you are gone.

But never forgotten, your kind spirit and smile will always live in our thoughts.
