Where would I begin to tell about the last 49 years of my life? It has been a wild and wonderful ride!
I attended Clemson University to play soccer with a bunch of my NSHS buddies. At 19 I began a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which totally altered the course of my life. I always thought religion was boring, and I still think it is! But, I never knew how beautiful it could be to know the Creator and God of the universe, to experience His amazing love and grace each day. I even wrote a book, Secure In An Insecure World, all about God's love and marriage. It includes my personal story from insecurity to security, and even some stories from NSHS.
I married my bride, Danelle, 44 years ago. God gave us 7 children, all are married. Five have graduated from UGA. Sadly, none attended Clemson! We have 17 grandchildren, 6 girls and 11 boys. Thankfully, most of our children live in the Atlanta area.
Danelle also graduated from Clemson University. Go Tigers! We began a campus church in Clemson, and started others in Raleigh, Columbia, SC, and Atlanta. We moved to Atlanta in 1986 to help start the new church.
I went to Russia on a mission trip with my brother in 1996. After that I lead 30 teams on mission trips to Russia and Ukraine. We moved to Kiev, Ukraine to be missionaries in 2005 where we served 6 years. In 2011 we moved back to Sandy Springs to live near my mother and most of our grandchildren.
I currently work with people in the Southeast, sharing the good news of life in Christ, and helping people grow in this relationship. We help people build communities around quality friendships, and meeting in homes as house churches. We love it! Please visit our web site if you want to know more. www.gcmweb.org
May God reveal His love to each of you in new ways!
